Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 95: Appraisal - Level 2

The premium dormitories were way too big for one person anyway and she didn\'t want to be separated from her big brother so she decided to stay inside Shye\'s dormitory.

"Big Brother! Let\'s go! We\'re gonna be late!"

Maia said with a loud voice before leaving the dormitory with an excited look on her face.

Shye couldn\'t help but chuckle after seeing his little sister\'s overly enthusiastic antics.

It was still way too early for school but he didn\'t want to rain on his little sister\'s parade so he just decided to go to school early today.

On the way, Shye casually talked with Maia as they walked toward their respective buildings.

Unfortunately, after walking for ten minutes, the two of them had to go their separate ways since the scout and warrior course buildings were in different directions.

"Well then, big brother, I\'ll see you later!"

"See you."

Shye bid his little sister goodbye before continuing to walk towards the warrior course building once Maia\'s silhouette was gone.

Then, after a few more minutes of walking, he finally arrived in front of his classroom.

"Wahh…The classroom is empty…Seems like I got here way too early…"

He thought to himself as he yawned lazily and entered the classroom. Since he had nothing to do, he decided to open the system and explore its features once again.

Upon checking his status, he noticed one skill that he had neglected because after using it hundreds of times in the past, it was still useless.

[Appraisal Lv.1]

"Well, it only cost me a hundred points anyway…" Shye sighed as he decided to use the skill one last time before completely giving up on it.

"Haaah…"

Shye couldn\'t help but sigh once again in disappointment, it seemed that the skill was still as useless as ever.

However, while he was in the middle of sighing, a holographic notification suddenly appeared right in front of him.

[Congratulations, Your skill [Appraisal Lv.1] leveled up to [Appraisal Lv.2] !]

His eyes lit up after the unexpected pleasant surprise and due to this level up, Shye realized something.

"It seems that there is an option to not upgrade skills using points…If I simply continuously use a skill, it will eventually level up…"

This was a huge discovery for him because although he could earn lots of points in a single huge event, the price of each attribute upgrade has gone up tremendously and the value of each point is slowly becoming lower and lower.

Knowing that he could save lots of points from skill upgrades would be a big help to him because he believed that upgrading his attributes should be his priority right now.

A single skill level-up wouldn\'t allow him to win when there\'s a huge gap in attributes between him and his opponent.

"Oh? Captain! You\'re early today, how rare!"

One of Shye\'s classmates suddenly arrived which snapped him back to reality.

He then remembered that he had yet to test the effects of [Appraisal Lv.2] so he looked at his classmate and thought of the skill name in his head to activate it.

Shye felt ecstatic upon witnessing the outcomes of [Appraisal Lv.2]. He had anticipated that the skill might bring him a pleasant surprise, and indeed, it did.

Seeing the attributes of a person with just one look will allow him to accurately estimate if the person was stronger or weaker than him and because of this, he would be able to immediately spot his opponent\'s weakness.

For example, if he saw that his opponent\'s stamina attribute was lower than his, then he could simply fight him in a battle of attrition.

Another example is if the opponent has higher stamina than him but way lower strength and dexterity, then he could choose to be aggressive.

To summarize everything, [Appraisal Lv.2] could help Shye achieve a dynamic fighting style that would allow him to adapt and use the most efficient combat strategy against his opponent in just a few seconds.

In addition to this, he could immediately see if an opponent was too strong for him which would increase his chances of surviving.

"Hmm? Hello? Captain? W-Why are you staring at me while smiling like that?"

Jeff Boush couldn\'t help but take a step back and have goosebumps after seeing Shye smile at him like some kind of weirdo.

Meanwhile, Shye, the weirdo in question, regained his composure after Jeff confronted him about his peculiar conduct.

He then cleared his throat and made some random excuse to clear his name lest this guy tells everybody that he\'s a weirdo and a creep.

The two of them chatted casually while waiting for the class to start and after around 45 minutes, everyone arrived including their combat instructor, Fienna Evans.

"Everyone, sit down, and let\'s start the class!"

Once everyone was seated, Instructor Fienna took everyone\'s attendance and as expected, everyone was present since it was their first day as junior students.

"Alright, since everyone is here, let me take this chance to tell everyone what is expected of you as a junior student."

"As a junior student, you are expected to be an example to the freshmen and sophomores so you cannot act irresponsibly anymore."

"As you all know, your class is doing good since everyone is still healthy but I believe you all heard about the tragedies happening in the other classes correct?"

Instructor Fienna scanned the classroom and upon seeing that almost everyone was nodding with serious looks on their faces, she continued with her lesson.

"Good, as third-year students, you are now all expected to hunt inside the intermediate adventurer zones and the requirements are now way harder compared to when you were sophomores."

"Let me give you an example. As a third-year student, one of the requirements is to hunt a D- ranked creature alone."

"If you fail to do this during your entire third year in the academy, I am sorry to tell you this but you will be kicked out of the academy."

Most of the students in Shye\'s class gulped after hearing only one of the requirements. If the other requirements were on a similar level as this one, then it was inevitable that some of them would be heavily injured or worse, die inside the intermediate adventurer zone.
