Shocking Venomous Consort: Frivolous Miss

Chapter 200 - Practically a Wild Child

Chapter 200: Practically a Wild Child

Yelps of surprise rang out as everyone excitedly watched the scene before them unfold.

However, Ling Chuxi shook her head. Shao Nansong would definitely lose.

“Break!” Chu Jianyi suddenly let out a stone-shattering, heavens-shaking howl. Then, his blunt sword sliced through the air. Without even a little bit of light, without even the slightest sound of a whoosh, his single motion managed to bring upon everyone a strong sense of suppression.

Everyone began to feel the same false sense of reality, that even the stones beneath them had become part of the fighting ring, and that even they could not withstand Chu Jianyi’s attack.

By now, Shao Nansong had paused and appeared clearly before everyone. The illusions from his extreme display of the Martial Shadow Eight Illusions move also disappeared at the same time. Now Shao Nansong no longer possessed the earlier coolness he had as he stood against Chu Jianyi with a disheveled expression. It looked as though he wanted to dodge the attack, yet felt like as though there was nowhere he could hide even if he did. The sword he wielded in his hand wavered uncertainly, demonstrating that he was uncertain, that he somehow did not know how to block the oncoming blow.

Watching Chu Jianyi’s blunt sword speedily approach him, Shao Nansong’s eyes grew wide and his legs went soft, causing him to crumple to the ground.

“I admit defeat!” shouted Shao Nansong. The sound of this pronouncement rang throughout the venue and caused extreme shock.

Just as Shao Nansong’s voice rang out, the blunt sword stopped instantly, a mere half an inch away from Shao Nansong’s forehead. Cold sweat dripped from Shao Nansong’s face.

The whole martial arts venue fell silent. He admitted defeat. Shao Nansong actually admitted defeat. The number one expert of Wind Cloud Academy who was at Battle Qi Level 8 and a proud son of heaven who could execute a move like the Martial Shadow Eight Illusions had actually lost and so terribly at that!

However, Ling Chuxi was not the least bit shocked. With the opponent also at Battle Qi Level 8, and possessing such a strong grasp of battle opportunities and such a strong ability to control the flow of his Battle Qi, there was never any suspense in this battle from the start.

The venue was deadly silent as everyone looked at the fighting ring in a daze. Such an outcome was not one that anyone could have predicted. In their dazed and surprised states, nobody even noticed when Shao Nansong left.

By the time the majority of the crowd regained their senses, there were already voices filling up the entire area next to the ring.

“Wow, he won. He actually won! Chu Jianyi actually won! Did I see it wrongly?!”

“Nope, that was real. Oh, no! My Elder Brother Shao!”

“Shao Nansong actually lost!”

“Was Chu Jianyi actually so amazing all along?”

Outside the fighting ring, everyone was astir. Shao Nansong had actually lost. The Shao Nansong who had never recorded a lost had actually lost today! And he lost to someone like Chu Jianyi, whose name was never even heard of before today!

Chu Jianyi stood on the edge of the fighting ring with a calm expression as he turned around to look at the crowd. Using his sword to point downwards towards the spectators below, he roared, “Ling Chuxi from White Stone Academy, come up! I know you are definitely here. Come up! Come up this instance!”

Ling Chuxi was stunned. Why was this rascal calling out her name first for? She did not have any animosity with him, right? There were quite a few exchange students he could challenge, why did he call her out first?

“Come up quickly! Don’t be a bastard! Don’t throw the reputation of White Stone Academy into disgrace!” called out Chu Jianyi fiercely. He was still howling from the edge of the fighting ring like a vigorous dragon or a ferocious tiger as he waved his sword around aggressively. Right now, he was carrying himself so differently from how he did earlier on when he stood as calm and steady as a rock. He was practically a wild child at the moment.

“This rascal. How hateful of him! He’s speaking such ugly words!” growled the fifth princess as she clenched her fist in anger.

“I’ll go,” said Ling Yichen even as his expression sank. He was about to step forward to get into the fighting ring when Ling Chuxi stopped him.

“Don’t. There’s no need, Yichen. Since he is calling my name, I will go up. There is no need to worry,” said Ling Chuxi.

“But—” began Ling Yichen with a frown. Seeing as the opponent had such strong cultivation and was most likely at Battle Qi Level 8... Was it really nothing to worry about? Given Ling Chuxi’s lower cultivation level, was it really not a problem? He did not wish to see Ling Chuxi obtain even a small injury. He’d rather it be him who got injured instead.
