Chapter 418 - Really, Thank You for Your Compliments

Chapter 418: Really, Thank You for Your Compliments

“Oi, old pervert, just give up on this desire to make me acknowledge you as my master.” The corner of Ling Chuxi’s lips twitched as she retorted without even thinking.

“Miss Ling!” exclaimed the emperor immediately the moment he heard Ling Chuxi’s words.

Ling Chuxi could tell that the emperor hoped she would just acknowledge Ye Qianhe as her master to resolve the dangerous situation they were all in. She also did not blame the emperor for expecting this of her for the sake of Nan Xia Country’s citizens. She herself would not hesitate to do the same if it were her, what’s more the monarch of an entire country. However, she did not wish to compromise with Ye Qianhe despite this.

“Didn’t you try to take me on as your disciple before, you old pervert? At least be able to keep up with me then. With your two short legs, the last time you chased after me you could not catch me and you were even sent flying with a single slap, what qualifications do you have that would make me want to acknowledge you as my master?” said Ling Chuxi mockingly.

“Good. Good. Just keep being like this you despicable little person. Just wait and see if I don’t skin you alive this time!” hissed Ye Qianhe who was once again totally rejected by Ling Chuxi without her showing any care for his reputation, hitting him exactly where he was critically sore. He was so angry that his whole body trembled and he pounced over in Ling Chuxi’s direction to attack her once more.

“Can you rewrite your script and be a little more original? You keep saying the same things over and over again,” taunted Ling Chuxi, provoking Ye Qianhe continuously as she dodged his attack. ‘This old pervert’s mental prowess is truly bad. Just a slight provocation makes him so angry his entire body trembles,’ thought Ling Chuxi to herself with a laugh.

“Good. Good. You are asking for death yourself so don’t put the blame on me when you get it,” sneered the old man who was so angered to such an extreme that he started laughing maniacally as he once again pounced over in Ling Chuxi’s direction to attack her.

Ling Chuxi saw that she had provoked him just about enough and immediately took flight. Ye Qianhe chased after her closely and relentlessly. Both their figures flew out of the city like gusts of wind, one after the other. Ling Yichen did not even think twice before he immediately went after them. However, when he arrived outside the city gates, he could not see them anywhere. ‘Was their speed actually that fast?’ Ling Yichen frowned and looked ahead in worry. ‘Would anything bad happen to Chuxi?’

“Don’t worry, Chuxi should be fine. She was not caught by him the last time. This time, it would be even more so the case,” said Baili Han extremely confidently. He had also chased after them and arrived outside the city gates. Baili Han already had an almost close to blind belief in Ling Chuxi. In his heart, it was almost as if Ling Chuxi could do absolutely anything. When encountering strong opponents, she had never once retreated or showed fear, but instead became stronger!

Ling Yichen kept looking ahead with a frown and wanted to continue chasing, but he did not know which direction to go in.

“Just wait for her to return. Chuxi will be fine,” chimed in Fu Chengyu who had just arrived after running over after them as well. He patted Ling Yichen’s shoulder as he spoke.

Ling Yichen stared straight ahead feeling a sense of loss and trouble in his heart. He was still not strong enough!

...

Ling Chuxi knew that the old pervert was proficient in using poisons and was worried that he would harm innocent citizens, so she could only do her best to try and find places where people were scarce to escape to. Ye Qianhe had made up his mind this time to wipe away the stain of his previous shame with Ling Chuxi’s blood and chased after her without relenting.

Still using the same old method, Ling Chuxi ran on ahead while constantly ridiculing Ye Qianhe. Her words of scolding really did not carry a single curse word and did not have a single repeated sentence because there were so many things she found to ridicule about him that she didn’t need to. Ye Qianhe was so angry that he was practically half dead. His furious yells echoed after Ling Chuxi’s quick footsteps.

Along their whole journey, one could only hear Ling Chuxi’s constant taunts of ridicule and Ye Qianhe’s angry roars.
