Emperor's Domination

Chapter 6218: Graverobber?

Chapter 6218: Graverobber?

It was sealed with no visible entrance, looking like a large monument made from a single unbreakable block.

No characters and symbols could be seen; this naturally perplexed the group. There should have been a title at least, and the tomb itself could have used polishing instead of looking so rough.

“I sense a grand dragon vein, whoever being buried here is at least an emperor.” Black Witch Monarch commented.

“So it was an entrance to a tomb.” Li Xian thought this would be an entrance to Old World.

“I wonder who it is.” Princess Chen said.

They walked through the Li’s main cemetery and although it was grand in size, it couldn’t compare to this particular one.

All eyes were on Li Xian.

“I don’t know.” Li Xian waved his hands and said: “I didn’t know of its existence until now.”

“Is there anyone from your clan who should be buried here?” Orchidcore asked.

From the cemetery, an imperial-level ancestor didn’t warrant a tomb of this size.

“There are no records of this place.” Li Xian said.

“Xuansu.” Mu Hu remarked.

The group exchanged glances and found this to be a reasonable answer. For the Li, perhaps only their progenitor was qualified to be buried here.

“No, our progenitor cannot be buried here.” Li Xian shook his head immediately.

He knew their progenitor didn’t pass away in the clan and had disappeared elsewhere. Otherwise, future descendants would have worshipped and offered their respect.

“A tomb doesn’t have to be for the dead.” Li Qiye said.

“Not for the dead?” The young ones didn’t think of this and assumed it would be a big shot resting beneath.

“Could be a treasure of the immortal level, hehehe...” The monarch’s eyes lit up excitedly.

The young ones stared at Li Xian again.

“Could it be a weapon from your ancestors?” Monk Zhu asked.

“No records either...” Li Xian said without confidence. His clan had fallen for so long and had no weapons or treasures left to speak of.

“Well, a tomb so grand yet nameless, there’s something interesting going on.” Orchidcore murmured.

“We just have to do some digging and find out.” The monarch became impatient.

“No! It must be my ancestor inside, we cannot open it!” Li Xian became startled.

“You want to be a graverobber now?” Princess Chen glared at the monarch.

“It’s legitimate when there is a descendant of the Li right here, it’s a legitimate tomb opening, don’t try to besmirch my reputation.” The monarch retorted.

“From what I can see, you’re used to doing this sort of things.” The princess gave him the side eye.

“Why go for the distant when the near is right here?” Li Qiye glanced at the pond: “Just that lotus alone is priceless.”

“I noticed it when we first arrived.” The monarch said.

The pond in the valley had nothing outside of a single lotus. At first glance, it appeared as though a tall, slender oil lamp stood upright, its delicate stem seemingly crafted from some divine metal, emitting faint, cold beams of light.

On the lotus petals, a lotus pod had already formed. However, this pod did not resemble the typical, fleshy, plant-based pod. Instead, it looked more like a lotus pod forged from ancient bronze, its metallic texture gleaming in the light.

Inside the lotus pod, each seed emitted a different glow, shimmering as if seven different colors of light were flashing within. Anyone could tell that it was special.

“Septedivine Lotus.” Li Qiye said: “Rather rare and ancient with seven seeds ready.”

“I’ve heard of this before, a holy panacea capable of healing and bringing someone back from the dead.” The princess said.

“Same.” Orchidcore said: “It’s difficult to grow even for emperors.”

“Amitabha, it can only grow in a pure region. I can’t believe we are seeing one here.” Monk Zhu placed his palms together.
