Chapter 396 Breakthrough
"I have an announcement to the craftsmen of Asgard. Hiro needs apprentices, you lot won\'t have to fight. Just train under him when he deems it fit, you\'ll get your true blood potion." He announced and left the stage.
His announcement was generally received well by the crowd of players but some were very unhappy and weren\'t afraid to be vocal about it—they were much confident in their fighting skills. But Asgard didn\'t need anymore fighters, they needed people to make them weapons and potions.
People seemed to underestimate that part of war, they thought it was useless. But craftsmen and priests were as important as fighters.
"It must be nice, to think you\'re the leader of humanity. Seriously. I was going to beat whoever I was gonna fight, I\'m sure of it." One dwarf complained.
"Reckon he did that for his brother. They must think we didn\'t hear." Another who seemingly didn\'t have a face because of all the facial hair added.
"Right? The war hasn\'t even started and we already have corruption." This time it was a human, only trying to funnel the flames.
Hiro gave Kiro a death stare. That wasn\'t something they discussed, he\'d gained some confidence sure but he didn\'t think he was ready to lead an entire team. All alone. He wasn\'t sure he had the voice for it.
"Don\'t worry, you got it. You have the skill, they\'ll listen to you." Kiro tried to give his best friend some courage. "I can always discipline them for you if you want."
Hiro didn\'t stop starring daggers at him. He was the one who caused this after all and now he was pretending like it wasn\'t him.
"I\'ll manage." He answered barely a whisper.
Kiro nodded approvingly.
"Aren\'t you gonna say anything to those complaining about your decision? Leaving things as they are, they\'ll just resent you or your brother more." Isaac said.
He\'d been surprising the lot of them lately, while Ursa decided to keep to herself, mostly because she thought she had feelings for Kiro—Isaac decided to be vocal.
"You\'re pretty smart when you\'re not pretending you own the entire world. Be my guest, address them." He slumped on the chair and entered his inner world to check on progress. He wanted to start going into other worlds as soon as possible.
Isaac amplified his voice and cleared his throat, all eyes were on him in a matter of seconds.
"I know what you\'re thinking, who made Kiro the leader to decide such things all on his own? The truth is, nobody did make him a leader..."
This earned whispers from the crowds, guardians gave him strange looks. Kiro simply smiled, even though he was meditating, he still knew what was going on.
"Your dad was the one who came with this information, why don\'t you be one?" One person from the stands questioned.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"That\'s true, I could be. But even I admit that I don\'t have the skill, the charisma to lead. Though nobody made Kiro leader, I have no doubt in my mind that there\'s no better candidate.
"Those who go to school with us know our rivalry so you know I\'m not just saying this. He\'s not only the strongest, the number one player in Asgard but he also has much more experience when it comes to fighting our enemy. And who brought you guys true blood potions?
"What I\'m trying to say is, not everybody can fight. We need priests and potion makers as much as we need fighters. That\'s why he made this decision, fighting amongst ourselves isn\'t going to achieve anything."
There was complete silence in the arena. People were confused, some convinced that this was not the real Isaac. Those who knew him well, knew that he wasn\'t the type to butter people up, so this was most strange.
Kiro burst out laughing, opening his eyes, "careful Isaac you\'re freaking everybody out. What\'s your deal man? What are you playing at?"
Isaac sighed, "nothing. I just don\'t want our world to fall into another\'s hand because then how the hell will it be mine?" He added so that he could be more believable.
He couldn\'t believe how damaged his reputation was—in fact he could believe it he was just a bit in denial.
The crowd was mumbling amongst themselves, they didn\'t show it but they knew that, Isaac Blakeson was right, something most of them never thought they\'d say.
The next match was starting, while it was important to watch Kiro had made a breakthrough with jump. So the moment things settled, he went back to his inner space.
"That\'s interesting, why didn\'t I see it before. Every world seems unique..."
"Master, are you okay?" A raspy voice asked from behind.
"I just made a discovery Hubris, your world vibrates at exactly 0.7, Asgard at 1.8. I can\'t imagine how astronomical the distance between these worlds is.
"But my clones are able to go back and forth within seconds. It seems easy enough to tap into the frequencies, much easier when you\'ve been to said worlds. All I need to do is channel the frequency I want to go to but..."
He was thinking multiple things at once, making him seem to be rambling but his bonded beast understood him.
"There\'s no guarantee you won\'t end up in their world, the beings attacking. Or worse, enter a world they\'re actively invading." Hubris finished for him feeling the dangers of it all.
Kiro nodded. Happy to have his mount and someone who knew what he was thinking before he even uttered the words.
"Then you cannot jump alone, I\'ll go with you. You won\'t want to but I\'m not taking no for an answer, Master." He lowered his head to him as he said.
Kiro knew better than to turn the offer down. Hubris was stubborn and Kiro couldn\'t really deny that he needed all the help he could get.
"Okay, that\'s fine. I\'ll need my partner anyway. Taking the two of us will be a strain but I can handle it."
"Ready when you are!"
Just like that, they disappeared from the arena.
